Power Quality Training is available as a 1-day course where we cover a full range of Power Quality subjects intended to introduce you to the various subjects and parameters that are talked about and can be measured in Power and Energy.
Our content covers current legislation and standards including ESOS and ISO50001 through to how incentives such as the ETL (Energy Technology List) are available to help with energy reduction costs.
We look at power quality parameters such as flicker, voltage sags and swells and how installation are assessed to their compliance with EN50160. Harmonics and their effects on an installations load are discussed along with how and why these are important to consider with guidance on the G5/4 recommendations.
Following a format of “What Needs to be Measured”, “Why Does it Need to be Measured”, “When it Has to be Measured” and “How it Can be Measured” we bring all the topics together and present you with a Template for a Typical Power Quality Survey which can be used to Generate a Concise Report of an Installations Condition.
With the proposed addition of Energy Efficiency into the new BS7671:2018 18th Edition we have introduced a lighter version of our usual course where the concepts proposed in the new regulations are discussed and presented over a ½ day workshop to give an Introduction to Power Quality covering the basic concepts of Power Quality and Energy.
