Techlive 2026 Rotherham Power Quality Expert

Power Quality Expert featured our pioneering a new approach to power quality for the electrical contracting industry, Power Quality as a Service (PQaaS), which offers our Power Quality Health Check reports alongside a consultation service through a flexible annual subscription service. Power Quality Health Check was developed by Power Quality Expert in 2018 and has now been used by electrical contractors, commercial businesses and larger enterprises as a simple, low cost reporting service to give a simple assessment of an installations power quality.

We also demonstrated the latest portable test equipment from Sonel, including their ETL approved prosumer multifunction testers, MPI-540. The Sonel MPI-540 is a combined MFT with integrated power quality logging making it ideal for the electrical contractor who is moving into the Net Zero and Renewables sectors. We also showcased the high current, low-ohm earth fault loop impedance meters, MZC-330S and MZC-340-PV. These meters are now used in a number of applications for measuring the loop at the main incoming supply to large installations such as data centres as well as the testing the fault loop at 800V connections from the large solar farm projects being commissioned in the UK.

Electrex submetering also featured and demonstrated how systems can be integrated into existing installations to monitor and measure both energy demands and a sites power quality. The Electrex software can be cloud or site based to give the customer complete control over their own energy and power data, with reports being automatically produced and sent via email to the relevant departments for analysis and billing verification.
