Energy Management

Energy management and monitoring your energy usage is essential when starting to look at ways to improve energy efficiency and has long established legislation, such as ESOS and SECR, to help business make the move to reporting there efforts to achieve Net Zero.

The focus to save energy and understand how and where it is being used within an electrical installation is now an integral part of the 18th Edition wiring regulations. Originally introduced as Appendix 17 when the new edition was first published, energy efficiency has been expanded upon in the new Amendment 2 of the regulations. Part 8 now defines key aspects of energy management along with the expanded section 712 on solar PV renewable test and inspection.

Power Quality Expert offer a number of solutions to help with electrical energy management, from energy load profile surveys where we can help establish maximum demands, energy usage patterns and base load analysis.

Automated energy load management can also be integrated into an installation with local or remote control of electrical loads possible through bespoke energy and power quality metering points through Ethernet, GSM or Wi-Fi communications.

Our electrical energy management systems (EEMS) build on the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and allow for scalable systems to be implemented as energy usage changes or increase. This scalability helps to ensure that, irrespective of an installations size or location, the energy efficiency can monitored and reported through integrated web server management or cloud and server based software management.
