We offer a selection of power quality surveys and harmonic emission compliance assessments.  Parameters recorded and analysed can include voltage, current, real power (kW), apparent power (kVA), reactive power (kVAR), total harmonic distortion (THD) of voltage and current.  Voltage and current harmonics can also be individually assessed against specific EMC emission and power quality standards such as BS:EN50160.

Our monitoring and reports can be tailored to ensure the correct type of power quality measurements are made.  We work with clients to ensure that the recorded information and results are clear, concise and communicated in a way that the contactor and the end client can both understand what is being presented.

Our own in house developed Power Quality Health Check report provides a general overview of an installations power quality based on these common parameters along with a simple presentation of harmonic measurements to help engage clients with issues needing attention.

Based on the survey results an active approach to manage any highlighted issues, such as excessive harmonics potentially being exported on the network, can be adopted with remedial recommendations for solutions, such as harmonic filtering, to mitigate the issues can be proposed.
