Sonel MPI-540-PV the new flagship product for multi function testers

Sonel have launched a new revision of their flagship MPI-540 Power Quality Multi Function Tester. The Sonel MPI-540-PV has been designed for testing Solar PV photovoltaic installations. Measurement of both the DC and AC side of the installation is possible and is made according to BS:EN62446. BS:EN62446 covers the requirements for testing, documentation and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) systems, grid connected systems, documentation, commissioning tests and inspection.

The measurement of voltage, current and power allows for the verification of an installations efficiency. With the number of solar PV installations in the UK and the proposed addition of Part 8 – Prosumer, the new Sonel MPI-540-PV offers the contractor the functionality of a traditional MFT (Multi Function Tester) for tests like RCD, Loop, Insulation, Continuity and Earth, combined with a 3 phase power quality logger (Class S) and solar PV installation tester. The meter also has testing and diagnostics capabilities for EV Electrical Vehicle charging points with the Sonel EVSE-01 adapter.
