Sonel manufacturers a comprehensive range of electrical test equipment suitable for the testing and inspection of solar PV installations. These meter are designed to help test in accordance with Section 712 in the latest 18th Edition Amendment 2 of the wiring regulations and standard BS:EN:IEC 62446-1-2016 for Grid connected systems commissioning tests and inspection. The Sonel MPI-540-PV is a complete 18th Edition prosumer multifunction tester with the addition of power quality logging and solar PV measurements in accordance with EN-62446. For measuring and recording current, the Sonel CMP-1015-PV is a data logging graphical clamp meter able to make measurements downstream from variable frequency converters. The Sonel PVM-1020 and Sonel PVM-1021 contains a solar photovoltaic meter and irradiance meter for the testing of a panel or chain of panels up to 1000V DC on systems up to 100kW. For 1500V solar farm projects, the Sonel PVM-1530 can measure I-V curve and measurements on these larger systems. For the testing for fault loop impendance on a solar installation, the Sonel MZC-340-PC is suitable for voltage systems upto 900V.
